Cleaning the new motor and putting it back together:

So far it’s looking/cleaning up nicely.

I have the valve covers sent out to be chrome plated and the intake manifold/plenum are out to be black anodized. I also have an order in to Rockauto for a bunch of externals. Once they arrive I’ll be able to continue putting it back together.

Figure we’re supposed to have good weather ( high 40s-low 50s ) for at least the next 2 weeks, so hopefully I can get it all together and swapped in!

While Chrysler products aren’t really my thing, it’s good to see the wide variety of things that piques everyone’s interests around here.

Additionally , I know you’re in complete dissension when it comes to smart phones, but I think a point and shoot digital camera would really enhance the quality of your photos.

Did some mild port work on the heads/intake. Adding my ported 58MM TB.

That’s the extent of mods going into it.

My phone used to take great pics. Years of abuse have killed my camera lens unfortunately.

That’s fair enough. I just remember the disparity between my old non-smart phone, LG VN251, and my friend’s iPhone 5 cameras. The difference was noticeable.

My phone actually used to take clearer-crisper shots than any of my friend’s smart phones, especially at 1536x2048 resolution . The last 2-3 years have not been kind to it.

At some point I need to replace it, but given I don’t want a smart phone, I’ll likely be hard pressed.

I have a nicer Lumix P&S that I use for documenting projects. The Pixel 2 cell phone actually takes better pictures, but I like the dedicated instrument.

I actually have a nice digital camera at home, I just never remember to get batteries for it.
